Muzaffarabad (Parliament Times): Commissioner Muzaffarabad division Masood-Ur-Rehman visited the construction site of Shah Sultan Bridge and expressed his satisfaction on the work in progress. While talking to media representatives here on Saturday, he said that early construction Shah Sultan Bridge is imperative to reduce the traffic load on the bank road. He said, “the construction cost of Shah Sultan bridge is 260 million while the land acquisition cost was of 160 million.”
“The crucial stage was to acquire and vacate the eastern and western sides of the bridge construction area as high quality commercial properties were made on both sides” Commissioner maintained. When asked about the completion time of the bridge, he answered, “the project completion time is 2 years but we are endeavoring to complete it before time.”
Masood-Ur-Rehman also praised the cooperation of Affectees, saying that they have sacrificed their personal properties for public interest. He added that the government have provided the all the requisite funds and we are optimistic about the speedy completion of the project. He further said that people should ignore the negative propaganda as many fake news were circulated particularly on social media.
Moreover, Commissioner also inspected the demolishing process of acquired properties and directed the concerned officials to do the needful at earliest.
