RTI endeavors to aware people about recognizing their rights: Mehboob Qadir

Lahore: The Lahore Arts Council conducts an Awareness Seminar on RTI for Journalists on Services and Information Law here on Thursday at Alhamra Art Centre, the Mall.

Chief Commissioner Punjab Information Commission Mehboob Qadir also participated in the Seminar as the chief guest and said that RTI is trying to improve one own situation. He added that RTI had laid the foundation for reform in society because if a person knows his rights, he can easily remove the obstacles that come in his way.

Executive Director Alhamra Ijaz Ahmed Minhas welcomed all the journalists, briefed them about the Seminar’s purpose, and said that it would increase the public’s access to their basic information. He further said that access to services and information plays a pivotal role in a prosperous and developed social life.

Dr. Altaf Ullah Khan, Dean of Humanities at FCCU, said that FC students conducted a survey that generally targeted women. He said that the results of the survey would be beneficial in this campaign. Dr. Rachel Aruna Hasan from FC was also present at the Seminar.

Assistant Director Admin Khuram Naveel, holding an additional charge of Director Arts and Culture, said that the program would fully support Information Commission Punjab, FC College, Alhamra, and GIZ Support to Local Governance.

A large number of journalists from Lahore and other cities attended the Seminar and appreciated the efforts of Alhamra to promote prosperity in invitation welcome arrangements Seminar Environment research based Qualitative and Anlytical Approach based Productive by PRO Subah Sadiq and Information officer Samreen Bukhari All Journalists Participants Speakers especially appreciated and thanked Information officer Samreen Bukhari and AlHamra Management .
