RAWALAKOT, (Parliament Times) :Former President and Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir, Member Legislative Assembly Sardar Yaqoob Khan has said that the situation in Occupied Kashmir is alarming. General human rights violations have become commonplace, youth are being targeted and martyred and Kashmiris are being genocide. The federal government should immediately play its role in exposing the ongoing inhumane atrocities in occupied Kashmir. Chairman Human Rights Khurram Pervez’s arrest by Indian forces and vandalism in his office is reprehensible. The Indian government is trying to cool the Kashmiris’ spirit of independence by force of arms, but the Kashmiris continued their struggle for independence till their last breath. Kashmiris are disappointed with the UN’s silence on the ongoing atrocities in Occupied Kashmir. Human rights organizations should play their role against the ongoing atrocities in Occupied Kashmir and bring Indian atrocities before the world.
