Rawalpindi and Chaklala cantonment boards violate SC orders

ISLAMABAD: In violation of the Orders of Supreme Court of Pakistan, large size hoarding boards are still installed in the public properties by the Rawalpindi and Chaklala Cantonment Boards.
According to detail, the Supreme Court of Pakistan, in an order dated 17th October 2018 ordered all the concerned authorities to remove all the billboards/hoardings etc. installed within their jurisdiction which is not in accordance with law.
Despite clear direction by the SCP, large size hoardings are installed by Chaklala Cantonment Board at Sawar Park, near Heart International Hospital and Ammar Chowk near Old Airport Road.
Similarly, Rawalpindi Cantonment Board has also installed hoardings at Rumi Park and at Mall Plaza Saddar Rawalpindi.
When Contacted, Qaiser Mehmood, Secretary RCB, said they have discussed the order of the Supreme Court of Pakistan with their law department, and according to the opinion of their law department, there is not such bounding on the department regarding installation of the boards but with some reasonable regulations and restrictions.
Despite repeated attempts, Secretary CCB, did not respond to the questions of this scribe.
