Gilgit,(Parliament Times): Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly unanimously approved two resolutions on Wednesday. In the first resolution the house demanded transferring of ownership of PTDC motels setup in the province to Gilgit Baltistan and their reopening before the season.
In another resolution the house demoded usage of local manufactured items in government development projects and contracts. Both resolutions were tabled by member Assembly Ghulam Shehzad Agha.
In the House, on a call attention notice of Engineer Ismail regarding opening of campus of the University of Baltistan at Gancha and Kharmang Speaker directed Parliamentary Secretary Education, Surya Zaman, to speak the matter with university administration. On another call attention notice of Sadia Danish regarding the deteriorated condition of roads in Gilgit city, Minister works Wazir Saleem said that gas pipeline is being laid in Gilgit city due to which the flow of traffic is being affected and the roads condition will be better soon. The house will meet again today at 4pm.
