ISLAMABAD, (Parliament Times) : Attempts by Farooq Haider to form a separate faction on the resignation of the PML-N president have failed. A member of assembly from Muzaffarabad and Barnala expressed his disability for joining any faction against Nawaz Sharif. The Islamabad meeting failed. After the decision to reorganize PML-N in Azad Kashmir, an important meeting of PML-N was convened in Islamabad in which some members of Raja Farooq Haider’s group were trying to convince them that they would once again show confidence in the former PM. Out of more than 150 officials called from all over Azad Kashmir, only a few participated.
The meeting was attended by senior league leaders Raja Naseer Ahmed Khan, Sardar Tahir Anwar, Sardar Farooq Ahmed Tahir, Syed Shaukat Ali Shah, Chaudhry Ismail, Chaudhry Ishaq, Syed Murtaza Gilani, Waqar Noor, Dr Mustafa Bashir, Yasin Gulshan, Sardar Amir Altaf, Member Assembly Nisar Abbasi, Raja Abrar Hussain, Raja Maqsood, Raja Bashir, Sardar Munir and others participated.
Taking a stand, one of the leaders present at the meeting said that Farooq Haider was not seen in the election. After the meeting, some important leaders contacted the senior leaders of PML-N Shah Ghulam Qadir and Raja Mushtaq Minhas and said that we are with Nawaz Sharif, the organization of PML-N is necessary.
