ISLAMABAD: Adviser on Finance Shaukat Tarin has said matters with IMF have been settled and agreement with IMF will be signed in the ongoing week.
“ A constitutional amendments are needed in respect of state bank law. We have no two thirds majority for making constitutional amendment. We tried to make IMF understand this situation”, he said this while addressing an event here Monday.
“Agreement with IMF will be executed this week. Our job is to provide facilities to the people. Salaries of the government employees will not be delayed. Situation has been overcome. We are providing targeted subsidy to contain inflation, he remarked.
He observed we consider Pakistani business community as the biggest asset of the country and it is these entrepreneurs and industrialists that will shape the future of Pakistan.
Regarding Pakistan Single Window project, the Adviser on Finance pointed out that it will provide a comparative advantage to our business community to enter new markets and enhance exports.
Shaukat Tarin said the government is actively pursuing the agenda of making Pakistan hub of regional trade and transit.
In this regard, he said a major milestone has been achieved by operationalizing the TIR agreement and dispatch of transit consignments to Uzbekistan and Turkey.
He underlined the single window will boost our capacity to promote regional trade and help counter financial crimes including money laundering.
Talking about cyber attack on server of national bank he said enemy is sitting in our neighbor. More attacks are being feared after FBR and National Bank.
He underscored inflation is global issue and international prices are not in his control.
PTI government wants to provide facilities to traders community, he announced.
