Lahore: (Parliament Times) Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar conferred Governor Awards to over 30 personalities in recognition of their extraordinary services in various fields of health, education and social service. Addressing the ceremony, Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that each one of us who has been given responsibility or rank from Allah Almighty should do justice with it. It is incumbent on all of us to play a constructive role in the country’s development and prosperity.
According to details, Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar addressed a function at Governor House Lahore with religious personality Maulana Fazlur Haim, social activist Mian Saeed Ahmed, Vice Chancellor Mansoor Sarwar, Nayyar Ali Dada, Ammar Owais and Prof Dr Waheed Al-Hassan. Soomia Iqtdar, Fatima Hussain, Fidia Kashif, Dr. Tariq Cheema, Dr. Rubina Farrukh, Afshan Hameed, Junaid Sobhani, Dr. Sohail Mukhtar Ahmed, Dr. Khalid Mehmood, Rana Khurram Shehzad Khan, Kamran Lashari.Zeeshan Zia Raja, Tariq Tanveer, Shaan N Khan, Syed Kawthar Abbas Ayesha Jahanzeb, Shabana Akhtar, Ustad Nayab Ali Khan, Farzana Aqib, Prof. Aima Syed, Owais Younis, Tahir Ali Sadiq, Sadia Noorin and Syed Hadia Hashmi were awarded the Governor’s Awards.
Addressing the gathering and talking to the media on the occasion, Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that the present government believes in the rule of law and order in the country. It has been decided to launch a campaign in universities across Punjab to prevent crimes against women and raise awareness about it. All sections of the society have to play their role in preventing incidents like crimes against women. Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that only those who have big palaces and wealth in history and only those who serve humanity survive. It is the responsibility of every Pakistani to play his role for the development and stability of the country. Pakistan is currently facing many challenges which need unity and solidarity in the country to deal with the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan. The purpose of the Ehsas program, Successful Youth Program and Koi Bhooka Naw soye program is also to serve humanity. No political discrimination is being made in all public welfare schemes. He said that these resources are being used for the development and prosperity of the people in a 100% transparent manner.
Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that he had done a great job in various fields and paid tributes to the recipients and congratulated them on the awards and said that there could be no greater service than the service of humanity. There is no such other example in the world of philanthropists. He said that even during the Corona crisis in Pakistan, philanthropists have been seen on the front line and a chair of Rs. “We will continue to stand with our poor people in the future,” he said.
Addressing the function, Begum Perveen Sarwar, wife of Governor Punjab, said that her life’s mission is solely to serve humanity and for the development and prosperity of women for which I am working through Sarwar Foundation, Peace Council and Skills Center. Today, the Sarwar Foundation is the largest charitable organization in Pakistan providing clean drinking water to the people.
