KHAIRPUR: An Extension Lecture on Human Dignity in the Light of Seerat un Nabi (PBUH) was jointly organized by the Institute of Islamic Studies and Bhittai Social Watch & Advocacy (BSWA) at Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur. Mufti Muhammad Ibrahim, Ex Member, Islamic Ideology Council, Pakistan was the keynote speaker while Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto, Vice Chancellor Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur presided the event. Engr. Prof. Dr. Syed Madad Ali Shah, Vice Chancellor, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University of Technology & Skills Development, Khairpur was the Chief Guest and Mr. Muhammad Qasim Dayo, President BSWA was the guests of honor.
Talking to the participants, Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto said that the Seerat of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) teaches us about the good character. It is glaring example that by virtue of excellent character of our Holy Prophet, a large number of people embarraced the Islam. The Prophet emphasis on the respect and human dignity, tolerance and patience. Dr. Ibupoto stressed the need to follow the teachings and philosophy of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) in our daily life.
Mufti Muhammad Ibrahim shed light on the different aspects of the life of Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH). He said that our Holy Prophet is a role model as Sadiq and Ameen. He is a great and prominent philosopher of the world who respected and valued the human dignity and helped the poor, orphans and other needy people. The message of our Prophet is complete in all aspects. Our Prophet said that a Muslim is who’s tongue and hands are safe for an other Muslim or any Human Being.
Engr. Prof. Dr. Syed Madad Ali Shah said the human dignity is obvious from the character Holy Prophet regarding Ashab e Suffa where our Prophet sit together with the poor, needy and shelterless Ashab and his attitude was humanitarian and Prophet always respected and loved the Ashab e Suffa. Dr. Shah advised the youth to follow the path of the Seerat of our Holy Prophet in their practical life.
Mr. Muhammad Qasim Dayo said BSWA is contributing in the positive activities at University and in the community for the betterment of the society. He said it is matter of high pleasure and rejoice that we are the partner of this event.
Earlier, Dr. Sajjad Ali Raeesi, Director Institute of Islamic Studies warmly welcomed the guest speakers and the participants. He briefed the academic and research activities of the Institute.
Prof. Dr. Taj Muhammad Lashari Dean Faculty of Social Sciences extended his vote of thanks to the participants and organizers of the event and appreciated the keen interest of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto for sparing his precious time to grace the events organized by the various Institutes and Departments of Faculty of Social Sciences.
A large number of teachers and students attended the extension lecture.
