SAHIWAL: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Organizer Center Saifullah Khan Niazi has said that Prime Minister Imran Khan’s entire focus is on improving the performance of government institutions and providing relief to the people from inflation. Local party leaders should liaise closely with the administration to achieve these two goals and resolve other issues facing the people on a priority basis. The people will be satisfied with the performance of the government only with the immediate resolution of grievances. Therefore, the solution of public problems should be given top priority. He was addressing a meeting of the District Coordination Committee, party leaders and a press conference at the Circuit House here. Apart from the administrative officers, PTI central leader Rai Hassan Nawaz Khan, Member National Assembly Rai Murtaza Iqbal Khan, Faizullah Kamuka, Dr Abul Hassan, Shakeel Ahmad Khan Niazi, Chaudhry Nooriz Shakur Khan, Rana Aftab Ahmad Khan, Malik Faisal Jalal were also present on the occasion. Dhako, Major (retd) Dr Mazhar Shirazi, Chaudhry Ali Shakoor Khan, Waheed Asghar Dogar, Sheikh Mohammad Chauhan, Mohammad Irshad Kathia, Sheikh Shahid Hameed, Mian Naveed Aslam, Rao Mohammad Aslam Khan and Syed Rizwan Shah were also present. He took a detailed briefing on the ongoing development projects and law and order situation in Sahiwal and expressed his satisfaction that the development work should be expedited and the problems encountered in it should be resolved immediately so that they could be addressed in a timely manner. He assured to review the mega projects of Cardiology Institute and Motorway Interchange in Sahiwal on priority basis. Deputy Director Development Muhammad Akram Wattoo said that 794 projects worth Rs. 18.55 billion have been completed in Sahiwal district. Work is underway, which will also cost Rs 15.40 billion on 67 projects under the annual development program. Explained that all the Deputy Commissioners are monitoring the auction process themselves and the difference between auction and retail rate is not more than 20%. He said that price magistrates have also been activated for implementation of government rates to reduce public complaints of overcharging. Deputy Commissioner Wajid Ali Shah gave a detailed briefing on the ongoing Rs. 17 billion Intermediate City Improvement Program in the city and assured that the pace of work would be expedited by removing obstacles in the way of the project soon. Justice leaders addressed major issues facing the region, including the establishment of a cardiology institute, a motorway interchange, the construction of a veterinary campus in Chichawatni, the construction of an overhead bridge in Harappa, the provision of funds to the PHA and the municipal corporation. He drew the attention of the people concerned to the difficulties faced by them.
