QUETTA, (Parliament Times) : Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal has said that the provincial government is taking steps for emergency relief and rehabilitation of victims in Hernai. The Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps, Disaster Management Authority, Road Department, Health, District Administration and other agencies are busy in the affected areas. The quake victims will not be left alone, Disaster Management Authority, PPHI, district administration and other relief agencies have been alerted in the affected areas.
He said that in this hour of trial and hardship, the quake victims are standing by. In Harnai, emergency relief and rehabilitation work is in full swing and the injured have been airlifted to Quetta in a Pakistan Army helicopter. The Chief Minister was briefed about the relief operations by the district administration and PDMA officials. On the occasion, the Chief Minister directed to expedite the relief work.
The Chief Minister also visited the District Headquarters Hospital, Harnai and reviewed the arrangements at the hospital. The Chief Minister expressed satisfaction over the relief operations and paid tributes to the rescue teams. Later, Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan accompanied by provincial ministers visited the homes of the families of three members of the same family who lost their lives in the earthquake, where he offered condolences to the bereaved family. Provincial Ministers Haji Mitha Khan Kakar, Engineer Zamrak Khan Achakzai and Haji Muhammad Khan Tor Atmankhel also accompanied the Chief Minister.
