Islamabad : Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday directed his special assistant for poverty alleviation and social safety Sania Nishtar to bring improvements in services of Panah gahs and said that this project has nothing to do with politics.
According to details, Sania Nishtar on Thursday called on Prime Minister Imran Khan at his office.
Talking to Special Assistant on Poverty Alleviation Dr Sania Nishtar in Islamabad, he said special emphasis should be given to the Panagahs where the people throng the most.
The Prime Minister said the poor labourers used to sleep on the roads before the establishment of Panagahs. He said these facilities have nothing to do with politics but aimed at serving the people.
Prime Minister said that establishment of Panah gahs aimed at serving helpless people. Panah gahs were established to save poor sectors of society from getting demoralized, he added.
The Prime Minister said that homeless laborers were sleeping on roadsides, now an exemplary project of Panah gahs has uplifted them by providing them a roof.
Prime Minister was briefed about plans to improve services of the project during meeting.
Premier was told that private multinational hotels will coach crew working in Panah gahs. He was told that a board consisting of four members will be established to look after management matters in each panah gah.
