MUZAFFARABAD/MIRPUR (AJK), (Parliament Times) : The Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi has said that the China Pakistan Economic Corridor will serve as a game changer and completion of its projects in the region will open a door of revolutionary development and will promote prosperity and peace in Pakistan.
He expressed these views while addressing the tenth meeting of the Joint Cooperation Committee for China-Pakistan Economic Corridor through video link here on Thursday. He said the Completion of CPEC projects will revolutionize construction and development and promote peace and harmony.
The Prime Minister lauded the role of Joint cooperation committee on Mansehra-Muzaffarabad Mangla Road project and expressed the hope that the work on this project will be started soon and underlined the need to include Muzaffarabad to Gilgit road in the CPEC .
The Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir said that with the construction of Manasara Muzaffarabad Mangla Road all the districts of Azad Kashmir will be connected with each other while the connection with the southern areas will be reduced . The Prime Minister said the inclusion of Azad Kashmir in the CPEC projects is a reflection of the Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan special interest in the construction and development of Azad Kashmir. He said Azad Kashmir is a peaceful and attractive region rich in natural beauty, with vast potential for tourism, hydel power livestock and agriculture and by utilizing these potentials will help promote economic development and will also create jobs for the educated youth in the region . He stressed the need for the setting up of state of the art technical vocational centers in Azad Kashmir under CPEC to overcome employment . He said the land has been acquired in Mirpur Azad Kashmir for CPEC and it should also be included in the CPEC projects . The meeting was attended by the Federal Minister for Planning Asad Umar, Chief Ministers of the four provinces and Gilgit-Baltistan including the CPEC officials.
