MUZAFFARABAD, (Parliament Times) : The head of JKLF central convening committee, Khawaja Saifudin has termed the recent statement of President AJK Barrister Sultan Mehmood Choudhary on GB that was carried by the local newspapers that “the grant of provisional status for GB will not affect the Kashmir cause”, as irresponsible, non-serious, funny and meant to cover up the truth.
In a statement issued from the central information office he said that according to the UNSC resolution on JK, the respect for the territorial integrity of the State of JK is obligatory for the respective countries of India and Pakistan that administer the parts of the State of JK separately. He said the 5th August 2019 Indian aggression in IHJK is in utter violation of the same UNSC resolution and the proposed plan of government of Pakistan vis a viz GB is also in its violation. Both the unilateral steps by India and Pakistan shall for sure affect the disputed nature of the State of JK.
Khawaja Saifudin in categorical terms made it clear that GB is an integral part of the State of JK and that in no way it can be sliced down from it. He vowed not to allow any country to do so. None of the two countries have the right to annex the respective part of the State they administer as JK has a decades old rich history with geography to exist, he added. He said that such divisive policies of the State of JK by India and Pakistan has endangered the very existence of the Statehood of JK and has put a nation at the verge of extinction. He emphasized that nobody is against empowerment of rights for the people of GB and demanded more rights for locals but making it conditional is immoral and unconstitutional as per UNSC resolutions.
The head of JKLF central convening committee said that no government or politician has the right to make any unilateral decision for the specific part of the State they govern or live in. He warned Pakistan of treading the same path like that of India and that by losing her decades old high moral ground, Kashmiri people have every right to protest and resist against it by all possible political means.
