Lahore,(Parliament Times): Punjab Information and Culture Secretary Raja Jahangir Anwar has said that on the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Bazdar, the process of automation of government affairs in Punjab has been expedited and the Department of Information and Culture has been expedited to get online. All sections of Information and Culture Department are being gradually brought online for which the cooperation of Punjab Information Technology Board is commendable. He said this during signing a memorandum of understanding between Punjab Journalists Housing Foundation and PITB at Civil Secretariat on Friday. Director General PITB Faisal Yousuf MD Punjab Journalists Housing Foundation Shahid Farid Director Coordination DGPR Hamid Javaid Awan Deputy MD Punjab journalists Housing Foundation Haseeb Zaidi and other representatives of PITB Punjab Information attended the ceremony.
Secretary Information and Culture Raja Jahangir Anwar said on the occasion that the automation of Punjab Journalists Housing Foundation would enable the journalists to get all kinds of information about their plots without any delay and also help in carrying out the official affairs of the foundation efficiently. He said that on the direction of Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Bazdar, development works of journalists residential colonies were being expedited to provide better facilities to the media representatives in Punjab and all departments of the Public Relations Department were being automated. He said that the advertisement section of the public relations department is also being upgraded to provide maximum facilities to all government departments.
MD Punjab Journalists Housing Foundation Shahid Farid said that with the completion of automation project in collaboration with PITB, journalists will be able to get all kinds of information on their mobile phone app. Director General PITB Faisal Yousuf said on the occasion that PITB is introducing modern automation systems of information technology which is significantly increasing the efficiency and facilities of all government departments.
