ZHOB: Divisional Director Schools Saeed Ahmad Khan has said that leaders of the teachers’ organizations should also be aware of the students’ issues besides the teachers they are striving for, as the ‘child’s rights’ should be in their priorities. He urged the teachers to perform their duties with honesty and missionary zeal to improve educational standard as the future of children is in their hands.
“Senior teachers should encourage the newly-appointed teachers to get acquainted with the environment of the educational institutions, they are posted in. The high number of children in public educational institutions in Zhob indicates that the people have confidence in public sector educational institutions,” he lauded.
He expressed these views while speaking at a function held at Government High School No. 1 on the occasion of distribution of appointment letters and to welcome the newly appointed Secondary School Teachers (SSTs) through Balochistan Public Service Commission. The event was presided over by the District Education Officer Lal Jan Musakhail. The newly-appointed male teachers in various cadres were handed over their appointment letters.
Assistant Commissioner Kakar Khurasaan Jarullah Kakar, DOE Sheikh Musa Khan Mandokhail, DDO Ajab Khan Kakar, DDO Wali Khan Mandokhail, ex-presidents teachers’ association Fateh Khan Mandokhail, Ayoub Mandokhail, GS GTA Noor-ul-Haq Lawoon, Babrak Khan Mandokhail, Abdul Latif Mandokhail , Asadullah Mardanzai, Ajab Khan Kakar, Syed Sultan Shah Harifal, Maulana Mashhood Shah, principal No.1 School Habib-ul-Hassan Mandokhail, Muhammad Rafiq Nasar, Scout Organizer Ghulam Sarwer Mandokhail, Hashim Kibzai, journalist Rafiullah Mandokhail, headmasters, senior teachers and representatives of various unions attended the ceremony.
Addressing the ceremony, AC Jarullah, president clerk association APCA and chairman BEOGA Suhbat Khan Mandokhail, president PBLA Noorullah Kakar, chairman GTA Qadam Jan Mandokhail, president GTA Sherani Amir Muhammad Sherani and Karim Khan Kharoti congratulated and welcomed the newly appointed SSTs and expressed hoped that the ‘young blood’ would perform their duties with honesty, devotion and commitment. They termed GTA, as an education-friendly organization and appreciated the efforts of the leaders for the rights of teachers.
Divisional Director Saeed Ahmad Khan, on the occasion of his visit to the girls’ school, expressed displeasure over the unusable toilet and said that a girls’ school in Dukki also did not have a washroom for even 600 girl students, which is regrettable. He directed the DEOs and headmasters to meet the shortage of science teachers in the schools by providing LCDs in the classrooms to teach science subjects to the students via YouTube.
“Unfortunately the teachers do not have information about educational policies and single nation curriculum,” adding that human being has two capacities, one is human capacity and the other is professional capacity.
He urged the teachers to provide facilities to the children in their educational institutions; otherwise the same behavior will affect the future generation. At the end of the ceremony, appointment letters were distributed among the SSTs. It is worth mentioning that the two toppers in Balochistan also belong to Zhob.
