Sargodha, (PR) : A joint meeting of district administration, Law Enforcement Agencies, and the University of Sargodha officials regarding reviewing security arrangements at University of Sargodha was held on Tuesday.
The meeting was presided by the Arshad Ahmad Watto Additional Deputy Commissioner HQ Sargodha while additional registrar Waqar Ahmad, resident officer Faheem Arshad, and others members from LEAs including police, CTD, special branch, security branch, civil defense, 1122 and forest department attended the meeting at University committee room.
Resident officer Faheem Arshad briefed the meeting about overall security situation and the security measures taken in the light of the recommendations, made in the previous meeting headed by the Additional Commissioner Coordination Mr. Shahbaz Naqvi ,Held on 26 August, 2021 in the commissioner office.
Keeping in view the security situation and to beef up the security of the varsity, the Resident Officer briefed following measures to the house to ensure the security of varsity: Activation of the Quick Response Force (QRF), Readiness and preparedness of the varsity security guards to handle the security related challenges, Actions taken in the light of the observations made by the security branch Sgd, Proper management of the central control Room for 24/7 surveillance of varsity, and Start of the Training of security guards by Elite police.
Resident Officer also briefed about the mock exercises conducted in Main Campus, Medical college and Agricultural College UoS by different law enforcement agencies.
After the meeting, the members visited the University and checked the security measures and verified the security measures.
Besides these security issues, the house was also apprised about the establishment of a botanical garden at Agri College UoS in the backdrop of the meeting of the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shahid Muneer and the Commissioner Sargodha Division, Dr. Farah Masood
ADC HQ, Mr. Arshad Ahmad Watto showed his satisfaction and stressed on strengthening coordination with various LEAs and the varsity security officials.
