Muzaffarabad: Chairman Pasban-e-Hurriyat Uzair Ahmad Ghazali has said that the United Nations should take steps to restrain India from planned terrorism against the unarmed people in the disputed state of Jammu and Kashmir.

In a statement issued here on Tuesday, he said that human rights were observed in the entire state of Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir through the use of military force and inhumane laws like AFSPA, POTA and TADA.

Ghazali termed the dossier issued by the government of Pakistan regarding occupied Kashmir as a charge sheet against the Indian government, saying that India committed the worst example terrorism in the occupied state.

While expressing outrage over the military attacks on unarmed civilians in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Ghazali appealed the United Nations, members of the Security Council, the OIC, Amnesty International, Asia Watch and international human rights organizations to take necessary steps to prevent the Indian government and its forces for human rights violations in IIOJK.

He demanded the United Nations to play its constitutional role in resolving this issue by giving importance to the demand for restoration of human values, freedom of the people and right to self-determination in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
