IFPCA annual meeting: Journalists and diplomats work under ‘single’ vision


Islamabad,   (Parliament Times) : International Forum for Pakistani Columnist and Anchors (IFPCA) hosted its annual meeting. President of IFPCA chaired the session where a large number of core members of the executive body and members of the forum participated. In the meeting, they decided that elections of the members of the executive body for the next two years will be completed. President of the Forum Asif Noor has that the IFPCA has a mandate and vision to offer the members of this forum journalism and communications related trainings and capacity building of the young journalist for better practices based on international standards. He further shared that Forum has internationally renowned journalists, columnist and bloggers who are contributing towards projecting Pakistan’s true image. He added that IFPCA is first such forum in Pakistan which is helping to project better image of Pakistan among the diplomatic community and have arranged several sessions with Embassies here in Pakistan. IFPCA is working as a bridge between journalists and diplomatic community. He said that an advisory council will be made in IFPCA that will help to work for the betterment and development of journalists community. Various members of IFPCA also shared their views and shared different options on how to support and build the forum to help the media persons. Senior journalist Khalid Jamil, Anchor Hammad Jami, Senior Journalist Waqar Fani, Sohaib bin Noor, Columnist Wazir Nusrat, Columnist on Afghan issue Dr. Zain Ullah Khattak, Aziz Rana and Blogger Syed Waqar Shah participated at the forum. In the meeting a briefing was shared about the performance of IFPCA and contributions of pervious and incumbent executive body members were highly appreciated.
