National Press Club Islamabad organizes program to discuss Journalism issues


Islamabad, (Staff Reporter):  National Press Club Islamabad organized an evening with senior journalist, columnist, analyst Azeem Nazir, participation of senior journalists, participants presented their suggestions for modernization of journalism, detailed discussion on issues. The event was presided over by former President Federal Union of Journalists, Quaid-e-Sahafat Muhammad Afzal Butt and hosted by Senior Journalist Editor Kashmirlink Winkerperson Khawaja A. Matin. Abid Hashmi, Mudassar Chaudhry, Muhammad Iqbal Awan and others participated. Leading journalist and analyst Azeem Nazir said that steps need to be taken to modernize journalism. At present, journalism and journalists across the country are facing severe difficulties. We have to formulate a strategy to deal with the problems. The current era of digital media is far away and journalists associated with print media should come here. It is an honor for us that Azeem Nazir Sahib shared with us his 35 years of experience in journalism which provided ample opportunity for young journalists to learn. Protests will be recorded outside the Parliament House. The government should immediately take steps to solve the problems of journalists. The host of the event, senior journalist Winkerperson Khawaja Matin, thanked the participants and paid tributes to the journalistic services of Azeem Nazir.
