ISLAMABAD,(Parliament Times): The Second Annual International Ideology Pakistan Conference was organized by the Students services department, Riphah International University, Islamabad. The conference was attended by young students from Turkey, Bangladesh, Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Cambodia, Burkina Faso, Rwanda and Albania and sent congratulatory messages to the Pakistani nation on the occasion of Independence Day. In the inaugural address to the conference, Riphah University Chancellor Hassan Muhammad Khan said that Pakistan is based on two nation ideology while Allama Mohammad Iqbal and Quaid-e-Azam wanted to make Pakistan a truly Islamic welfare state where government economy system was idealized to be as per Islamic teaching.
He said that the objectives resolution and the speeches of Quaid-e-Azam on various occasions made it clear according to which ideology the founders of Pakistan wanted to form a nation and a country. Addressing the conference, Vice Chancellor Prof. Anis Ahmad said that it is the equal responsibility of all sections at present to pass on the ideology of Pakistan to the new generation and to make them aware of the real objectives of the establishment of Pakistan. Universities should play a key role in spreading the message of love, brotherhood, patriotism and tolerance. Leading Pakistani poets, writers and anchors addressed the second session of the conference and introduced the new generation to the ideology of Pakistan.
In the third session of the conference, exclusive interviews of the workers of Tehreek-e-Pakistan prepared by Riphah Radio were presented. In the fourth session of the conference, a special discussion on the ideology of Pakistan and the Constitution of Pakistan was organized which was chaired by the Vice Chancellor Dr. Anis Ahmad. In the fifth session of the conference, the students presented a special discussion on the role of women in the development of Pakistan.
