RAWALPINDI,   (Parliament Times) : On the direction of Chairman RDA Tariq Mehmood Murtaza and Director General RDA, the staff of the Directorate of Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering (MP&TE) along with SHO police station Chontra and Elite Force demolition operation was done against illegal private Housing Schemes including Khanyal Homes, Khanyal Homes (Mivida Block), Green Oaks Farm House, Rabia Residency (Star Enclave), Abdullah City And Blue World City (Site Magma City And Khayaban Iftikhar) on Chakri Road Rawalpindi.
The offices of two illegal housing schemes including Khanyal Homes and Green Oaks Farmhouse (Mivida Block) have been sealed. In addition, Mivida Housing Scheme’s nine mobile container booking offices have been demolished and a horse installed at the entrance gate of Green Oaks Farm House has been also demolished. The Guinness advertising office has also been sealed.
The illegal housing scheme Abdullah City obtained a stay order from the court and the main entrance was blocked with heavy machinery and faced resistance from a large number of people and lawyers, but proceedings were stayed in the light of the court order.
The signboards of Star Enclave were torn down which were misusing the name of Rabia Residency (Star Enclave). The offices of the old site Magma City and Khayaban Iftikhar who have partnership with Blue World City have been also sealed and the roadside boards have been torn down.
The RDA has issued notices to the owners of the said illegal housing schemes under Section Punjab Private Housing Schemes and Land Sub-Division Rules 2010. The RDA Spokesman said Director General RDA has advised the general public that in their own interest they should not make any investment in any illegal and unauthorized housing scheme which status declared illegal by RDA. The general public is further advised to check the approval status of each plot and building prior to purchase, agreement and booking from the MP&TE Directorate RDA. It can also be checked on the RDA website rda.gop.pk.
