Shangla: Residents of Pirabad while talking to media persons said that 10 km road from Bely Baba to Pagorai Top has become a nightmare for the people. In recent rains, the road has turned into a rain gutter. Due to which the citizens are facing severe difficulties in transportation, he said that despite the passage of ten years on the road constructed in 2011 under the supervision of ERA department, the construction work could not be completed even today, UC Pirabad and Other Suburb transportation of 30,000 people depends on this road, Construction work on the road has been delayed due to the negligence of the ERA department, concerned contractors and elected members of Shangla, a Resident of Pirabad Mohammad Alam said, adding that protests against the non-construction of Peerabad road have been recorded several times. He also informed the elected members but no hearing has been held so far. He said that the people of Peerabad are being treated like step mothers by the ruling party and the basic and constitutional rights of the citizens are being confiscated. “If the construction work on the road does not start in a week, the people of Peerabad will stage a sit-in in front of the ERA headquarters in Islamabad, and this protest will continue until the Construction work started on the road, ” they said. “We do not believe in any more false claims and promises. Despite repeated assurances from the concerned administration and elected members, construction work on the road has not started yet,” they said.
