Muzaffarabad: Chairman Pasban-e-Hurriyat Uzair Ahmad Ghazali has said that political parties contesting forthcoming elections did not present their manifesto besides ignorance to Kashmir cause.

In a statement issued here on Sunday, he said the these elections are of utmost importance when the state identity has been abolished by Indian tyrants, “millions of Indian citizens have got Kashmiri domicile contrary to UN resolutions” Ghazali maintained.

He said, “Despite of having muslims majority (in Kashmir), our religious, political and human rights are usurped by RSS ideology followers (Indian government). ”

Uzair lamented that people of Kashmir are astonished that all previous elections were contested on the slogan of Kashmir freedom movement but all political parties didn’t even talk about freedom movement during their campaigns.

“Contestants are not even telling the people against the illegal measures imposed by the Indian government on August 5, 2019 and the forced partition of the state”, Ghazali lamented

Chairman Pasban-e-Hurriyat said that neither the central nor the local leadership of the political parties in Azad Jammu and Kashmir had demanded the right to self-determination as per the UN resolutions.

“It is the primary constitutional responsibility of the base camp government, their parties and the leadership to raise voice for their brethren on the other side of LOC under Indian occupation”, he added.

He said that similar negligence and carelessness in the past had alienated the future generation of Azad Kashmir from the resistance movement.

Uzair appealed to all the parties of Azad Jammu and Kashmir to play an effective role for the independence of Indian-occupied Kashmir by forming a government through elections.

He said that the role of the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir has become very important for the independence of the Indian-occupied state.
