24 die, 1980 tested positive in COVID-19 during last 24 hours


ISLAMABAD:   24 people succumbed to COVID-19 and 1980 tested positive during the last 24 hours in the country.
As per the National Command and Operations Centre’s (NCOC) data tally of fatalities has soared to 22642 and the total number of positive cases has reached 978,847.
As per province-wise breakdown, the total cases reported in Sindh so far are 349,586, in Punjab 348,725, in Khyber Paktunkhwa 139,710, in Islamabad Capital Territory 83,956, in Balochistan 28,434, in Gilgit-Baltistan 7,044 and in Azad Jammu and Kashmir 21,392.

4742 tests were conducted while number of active cases have reached 40862. As many as 915,343 people have recovered so far. Corona positivity rate has been recorded 4.17 percent.
