    Rasheed Ahmed Langove,

Social media is a computer-based technology that connects people to the world and helps them to interact with everyone. Social platforms are being used by 3.96 billion people in the world. Mostly, users of it are between the age of 18 and 29 years old. It helps in making education to everybody’s access and making relationships including sharing contents and another sort of needed things. But these all facilities waste the time of the people and giving rise to negative effects on them.First of all, social media along with television and other sites are not helpful for people because foremost, social relations are harmful to the mental health of people, and further, they are the sources of wasting time. Presently, everyone is crazy about using social media, but when they start using it, they can’t save the time that is most precious to everyone. Even they can’t utilize it for a short time, they spend more than ten hours on it every day, and it’s rightly known spending more than 3 hours on social media puts them at a higher risk of mental health issues.Secondly, In the world, thousands of people who are engaged with social media have many diseases like depression, sleeping problems, etc. Generally, individuals are being more depressed by the roll-out of unfavorable news. It is well-known that depression can lead to suicide, this is what near 800000 people die due to suicide every year. Furthermore, Those, who deprive of sleeping for being on social media, face a lot of diseases like slowed thinking, reduced attention span, worsened memory, proof or risky decision making, lack of energy, and feeling of stress anxiety, or irritability. On the other hand, if we talk about students, they have no interest to study performing at school, college, and academies just because of no sleep. Many of them want to perform their duties, but for accomplishing, neither they have the energy nor mind to understand and even it’s well-known to them without getting enough sleep, activities can be performed well.Thirdly, a lot of researchers say that social media usage might damage offline relationships, and could lead to more marriage problems, infidelity, and even divorce. According to researches, one in seven married individuals has considered divorce because of their spouse’s postings on Facebook or other online sites. Presently, it has been looking that the couple, who engages with social apps, feels jealousy by their comments and yet, considers divorce. Further, those, who are involved with it, are not able to give time to their family members, neighborhoods, and friends that are linked from any kind of sector, and ultimately, they lose all their offline connections, so for that, eventually, they lose face-to-face communication skills too. In conclusion, I would say that people had better follow the experts of social media. According to the experts’ recommendation, social channels should be used 30 minutes or less per day as the maximum time they should spend on social media. As it’s known that overusing social media can lead to worse health, on other hand, limiting use to 30 minutes a day can lead to better health outcomes.
