Protest on 700th days of Indian military siege in Kashmir

Muzaffarabad: People in Kashmir staged protest on the 700th days of military siege in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir under the aegis of Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir here on Sunday.

According to details, a large number of citizens participated in the rally and chanted slogans against Narendra Modi, Ajit Duval and Amit Shah.

The anti-India rally was led by Chairman Pasban-e-Hurriyat Uzair Ahmad Ghazali, former minister Sardar Javed Ayub, Vice Chairman Usman Ali Hashim, leader All Pakistan Muslim League Javed Ahmad Mughal, Hamza Shaheen and other representatives of Jammu and Kashmir refugees.

“The whole world is a silent spectator against this aggression of India”, Chairman Pasban-e-Hurriyat lamented.

Uzair said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir have rejected the Indian military rule.

He called on the United Nations to fulfill its promise of an impartial referendum in the disputed state.

While addressing the rally, the speakers said that the silence of international community could prove disastrous on human rights violations, massacre of unarmed youths and arrest of thousands of civilians in Indian Occupied Kashmir.

The speakers said that Kashmir dispute is a globally recognized but India tried to suppress the voice of people in IOK by taking illegal actions on August 5, 2019.

The speakers said that the people of the state have been demanding from the international community to ask India an immediate withdrawal of its forces.

People in the protest urged the United Nations and the Security Council to immediately annul the illegal Indian actions of 5 August 2019.

Mohammad Ismail, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, Mohammad Ismail, Mohammad Sadiq Khan, Maqsood Ahmed Butt, Abdul Hameed Lone and other representatives were present on the occasion.
