Holding release of census result for three long years itself if nothing else then it is insensitivity and inevitable to invite criticism as it has, and ironically it is not first time, firstly census are conducted after two decades which is wrong and are contrary to norms and practices and is litrarily ineffective as it should be how and when other countries conduct census and then it is released immediately. Census results unnessisarily held for long period cast doubt on geniounity of report inspite of fact pak army is co signatory and conducter along with National census department which is fine for large population but for out side world it is not easily comprehebable that army has access and control over census data. Reasons are simple, not falling for conspiracy theories every one else believes and knows the importance that census is paramount in national life ie to set goals for next five and ten years and to redress things which have gone wrong in period in past and to align policies governments sets targets resources wise to meet those targets.Im sure like other census results of past this census report will make little buzz at CCA level and on talk shows then it will be left in Archives. Sindh govt infact PPP is complaining that one hundred millions is missing and counted less in census in Sindh specially in Karachi so Sindh will get less money and Punjab will get more share of national wealth as its population is shown hundred million more etc other organisation specially Hindus complainant that Scheduled cast which form 4.05 should be classed as Hindus and there is genuine strong historical argument behind this so does Sindh province which has large chunk of immigrants from Bangal Bihar Bloch and Afghan nationals living for decades yet not enshrined in census as pakistani Sindhi. Census also tells that population growth is at 2.4 much higher then india and Bangaldesh though it has come down compare to last two census conducted 1998 and 1981 but still it is rising at alarming pace as pakistani resource cant and woudnt coup with this immense population growth. Since 1981 pakistani population is tripped compare to India fro eight crime to 23 crore whereas india from 68 crime to 138 crore yet there is not a single policy reflective of this danger’s realization is placed . Men are slightly more then women but will this census have any impact on pakistani top policy makers level to drastically bring in changes to enable women population to contribute equally in national life ? Hope this census will wake up rulers of pakistan to the realities pakistan facing and not only make concrete steps to make this census comprehensive and acceptable by addressing about concerns people and provinces have and in light of data census presents coherent steps will be taken which would be consistent to Pakistan national resources.
