Rawalpindi (Parliament Times):Malik Imran, Country Head, Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids, and Sana Ullah Ghumman, General Secretary, Pakistan National Heart Association (PANAH), held important meetings with senior FBR officials at his office.
CTFK and PANAH Representatives said that the growing use of tobacco has put the future of the people and especially our young generation at stake, it is time to impose taxes on it to protect our children from its harmful effects. There is a critical need for the country and it has a double benefit for the country. With the reduction in diseases, the government has also got additional revenue.
Fbr said that Which can be used for better health of the people “PANAH and FBR have the same goal, we also want to see a disease-free society and we fully agree with your views on raising taxes,” FBR officials said after the talks.
