Ramadan Kareem- the purifier

By Mardiya Sultana:

All praises to Allah SAW who to give us another opportunity to purify our souls and faith in Ramadan. However, since last year Ramadan Kareem its a bit different from the past. All the collective prayers and events that we all used to enjoy are now limited in numbers due to the pandemic. Nevertheless, the reward of this Ramadan Kareem could be attained with the same spirit. In Quran Al Kareem Allah SAW says “The month of Ramadan is the month in which was revealed the Quran guidance for the mankind, and clear proofs of the guidance, and the Criterion (of right and wrong). And whosoever of you is present let him fast through the month, and whosoever of you is sick or on journey, let him fast the same number of other days. Allah SAW desires for you ease. He SAW desires not hardship for you.” (2:183-185).

In the Ayaat above Allah SAW wants us to seek “guidance” from the Quran so we are able to choose between right and wrong. Lastly, Allah SAW expresses deep affection towards the humankind the “He (Allah SAW) desires not hardship for you.” SubhanAllah!!! There’s no other time better then this to seek guidance from Quran and mercy of Allah SAW. Guidance, especially about the life in the world. Since, we are all aware that we’re answerable to Allah SAW of “Huqooqul Ibaad” (Rights of humans on us). The way of communication, giving shares that are meant to share among family, purifying heart from all evils (such as jealousy, lies, fraud, blackmailing, show off etc) and many others. The door of knowledge and forgiveness is never closed by Allah SAW. In Ramadan Kareem, it’s different from any other month that our prayers are answered fastest. Therefore, make this opportunity a life changer and obtain best of the grades for hereafter.

It’s our belief that no prayer is accepted without sending salutation on Prophet Muhammad PBUH. Other then keeping faith in it we all have experience of it too. Whoever has visited Medina Munawara knows that when have a glance of green dome the words are accepted at once. Personally, I feel that there’s no heart that doesn’t have a small or big corner in heart that doesn’t have love of Prophet Muhammad PBUH. There’s a beautiful saying that we usually follow the footsteps of the one who’s the most beloved to us. We try to keep our attire like them, speak like them or talk about them most of our lifetime. Prophet Muhammad PBUH is the One who is the most followed person in the world. However, the only need is to follow Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad PBUH wholeheartedly and as an individual apply on ourselves before we preach others. Prophet Muhammad PBUH has never ordered for anything that they’ve not performed in their lifetime himself, Prophet Muhammad PBUH stayed calm and forgave the most, Prophet Muhammad PBUH never asked anyone to worship more then the person’s capacity nor they’ve made any certain league of people who can claim that they’re close to the Prophet Muhammad PBUH other then those who love Prophet PBUH without having an opportunity to see/meet him PBUH. Let’s purity our heart this Ramadan with the guidance of Quran and light of Sunnah of our Prophet Muhammad PBUH.
