Rawalpindi , ( Parliament Times) : Recounting the love and its practical expression of overseas Pakistanis with their soil as an unending chain, the Chief Executive Officer of Knight Human Management Shalan GL Pakistan, the agency for protection of rights and employments of overseas Pakistanis, Mr. Khalid Nawaz said that despite COVID-19 restrictions and compulsions, overseas Pakistanis have made a record of sending 2 billion foreign exchange in the last ten months. The Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan extended special thanks to his esteemed compatriots on setting this record.
He expressed these views during his address to the participants of the training workshop held here today for overseas Pakistanis.
Referring to a special Twitter message from Prime Minister Imran Khan to Overseas Pakistanis, Khalid Nawaz said that our compatriots have broken all previous records despite the COVID-19, a record of 2 billion in the last ten months which increased our foreign exchange reserves to help strengthening the economy of Pakistan. “The valuable foreign exchange received from overseas Pakistanis reached up to 2.7 billion which is 43 per cent higher than that of received in March 2020”, he added.
He further said due to this, valuable foreign exchange has increased by 26% this year, which has stabilized our economy. He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan especially extended appreciation and thanked overseas Pakistani workers for their valuable contribution in strengthening the economy of Pakistan through foreign exchange sent by them. He said that the government of Pakistan was already working for the welfare of overseas Pakistanis and to solve their problems was taking practical steps.
Khalid Nawaz mentioned that we are making all out efforts to explore more and more job opportunities for Pakistani workforce in the Gulf and other countries. “The present government of Pakistan is doing much better for overseas workers.
