MUZAFFARABAD, (Parliament Times) : The Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan has appealed to the Ulema and religious scholars to extend their cooperation and supplement government efforts to control the corona pandemic. Addressing the meeting of the Ulema and religious scholars at the Prime Minister house here on Tuesday, he urged them to guide the people to strictly implement the SOPs announced by the government. He said Ulema have played a leading role and guided the general public to follow the SOPs to control the corona virus and added that the third phase of the virus is more dangerous than that of the previous. He urged the ulema to realize the people during Juma sermons to strictly follow SOPs during the Raman-ul-Mubrak and ensure the social distancing and to follow strictly the SOPs to meet the challenges of the pandemic being faced by the people and added that Ulema in this directions can batter guide the government as well. He said the government has established the funds for extending financial assistance to the orphans and widows and data in this connection will be obtained from NADRA and amount will be transferred to their accounts which fall under the Shariah definition. The meeting was attended by the Ulema belonging to different schools of thought, chairman of the central zakat council and secretaries to the government. The Ulema on this occasion presented their proposals to control the coronavirus.
