LAHORE: Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar has said that those who are not following SOPs are welcoming Corona, adding that not wearing masks and neglecting SOPs would accelerate Coronavirus resurgence. The compliance of SOPs can prevent a spike in Coronavirus cases. He was talking to Provincial Minister for Housing Mian Mahmood-ul-Rasheed at Governor’s House Lahore. During the meeting, Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme and other governmental affairs came under discussion whereas Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar and Provincial Minister for Housing Mian Mahmood-ul-Rasheed urged the public to follow the SOPs in order to protect themselves and their loved ones from Coronavirus.
Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that unfortunately due to negligence in following SOPs, Corona is resurging adding that the whole world is grappling with this challenge right now. He warned that the whole country will have to face severe repercussions if the public continues to be negligent in the compliance of Coronavirus SOPs. Therefore, all the SOPs issued by the government should be followed strictly as Pakistan cannot afford to impose a complete lockdown.
Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar termed the Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme as a historic project of Prime Minister Imran Khan and said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan, Pakistan will truly become a welfare state. None of the previous governments took any initiative for the homeless but the Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme will provide houses to the homeless across Pakistan without any political discrimination.
Provincial Minister for Housing Mian Mahmood-ul-Rashid said that the Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme is being implemented in Punjab expeditiously adding that we are ensuring complete transparency in its implementation. Mian Mahmood-ul-Rashid whilst urging the public to follow Corona SOPs said that by following the SOPs, the new wave of Corona can be curbed from spreading.
