    Ex AJK President Ghazi e Millat Syed Ali Ahmed Shah remembered on his 31st death anniversary with full State honor

    MIRPUR (AJK),    (Parliament Times)  : The 31ST death anniversary of veteren Kashmiri leader and ex President of Azad Jammu Kashmir Ghazi e Millat Colonel (Retd) Syed Ali Ahmed Shah was observed across Azad Jammu Kashmir on Sunday with the renewal of the pledge to continue the mission of the departed leader to bring the Kashmir freedom movement to its logical end with complete success.

    Major simple but impressive ceremony to mark the anniversary was held at his mausoleum in his native city of Mirpur Sunday morning where Director General Jammu Kashmir Liberation Cell AJK Fida Hussain Kiyani laid floral wreath on behalf of the AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan. President Syed Ali Ahmed Shah Memorial Society Syed Nishat Hussain Kazmi, Secretary General Qaiser Shiraz Kazmi, Dr. Syed Abid Hussain Shah, Presidents of their respective factions of local Central Traders Organisations including Raja Khalid Mahmood Khan, Ch. Muhammad Naeem, President AJK Supreme Court Bar Association Farooq Minhas Advocate and others were also present on this occasion.

    Quran Khawani was held for the departed soul besides a special function to pay glorious tributes to the departed Kashmiri leader.

    A large number of people from various walks of life visited the mausoleum of Syed Ali Ahmed Shah here Saturday morning and placed floral wreath at the mazar besides offering fateha for the departed soul and other martyrs of Jammu & Kashmir besides praying for the early success of Kashmir freedom movement and for the solidarity, stability, prosperity and uplift of Pakistan and Azad Jammu Kashmir.

    Later addressing a special ceremony hosted jointly by Mirpur University of Science & Technology at its City campus, Syed Ali Ahmed Shah Memorial Society and Jammu Kashmir Liberation Cell, speakers including former Chief Justice of AJK High Court Justice (Retd) Abdul Majeed Mallick, DG JKLC Fida Kayani, Prof. Dr. Razia Rizvi and Prof. Syed Hassan Jaffery of MUST, President Markazi Anjuman e Tajraan (Insaf Wing) Raja Khalid Mahmood Khan, Prof. Muhammad Zubair, Director Mian Muhammad Buksh Library Mirpur, President Syed Ali Ahmed Shah Memorial Society and ex President AJK Supreme Court Bar Association Syed Nishat Hussain Kazmi, Advocate Secretary of the society Qaiser Shiraz Kazmi, Div. chief PID AJK Javed Mallick and others paid glorious tributes to the late former President of AJK Syed Ali Ahmed Shah for his meritorious services for the Kashmir cause for the achievement of their legitimate right to self determination – besides for the supremacy of law and justice in the state and for the development and uplift of the liberated territory of AJK.

    Speakers described departed Shah sahib a great hero of the Kashmir freedom struggle for his life-time services rendered for the cause of Kashmiris struggle for liberation of the motherland from the Indian clutches – despite the unilateral unlawful August 05, 2019 sinister act of India’s hardliner and fascist Modi led government. They underlined that not a single Kashmiri has accepted India’s said illegal action scrapping special status of the internationally-acknowledged disputed Indian-illegally occupied Jammu & Kashmir State.

    Speakers said that best way to pay tributes to the departed Kashmiri leader Syed Ali Ahmed Shahis to follow his foot steps for the achievement of the destination he set for the people of Jammu and Kashmir through the liberation of the homeland from the illegal and forcible clutches of the long Indian subjugation.

    They said that it was the result of the sacrifices of over two lakh of Jammu and Kashmir martyrs given during recent past that Kashmir emerged as the flash point and the freedom-loving and civilized world community were pressing for the early peaceful settlement of Kashmir problem.

    Speakers emphasized the need of early peaceful settlement of Kashmir issue in line with the aspirations of the people of Jammu & Kashmir under the spirit of the international norms and commitments especially the U N resolutions.
