ISLAMABAD/ MIRPUR (AJK), (Parliament Times) : The Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan has said that Kashmir is a unfinished agenda of partition of the sub continent and implementation of the United Nations resolutions is the only way for the settlement of the lingering Kashmir dispute.
Addressing a concluding session of the cabinet ministers and central leaders of Muslim league (N) drawn from all over Azad Kashmir here on Wednesday, he stressed the need to implement United Nations resolutions on Jammu and Kashmir for establishing durable and lasting peace in the region. He made it clear that Kashmiri people have been struggling to hold a plebiscite in line with the United Nations resolutions and will never accept any other formula in this regard. The Prime Minster said India has started systematic genocide of Kashmiri people to divide the Kashmir to fulfill its nefarious designs. However he said that despite using brute force India has failed to crush the freedom movement launched by the people of occupied Kashmir for attaining their fundamental right to self determination. He said over two lakh and 37 thousand Kashmiri had offered their sacrifices for the liberation of occupied Kashmir from Indian clutches and added that their sacrifices will not go waste and Kashmiri will ultimately get their cherished goal of liberation. . He said after passing 13th constitutional amendment the dignity of the state has been restored and the state is now self-sufficient in financial matters. He said the government has taken revolutionary steps and implemented merit to extend jobs to the eligible persons. Later the meeting unanimously passed a resolution expressing their full confidence over the leadership of the Prime Minister Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan.
