LAHORE : 75 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours due to novel coronavirus raising the tally of fatalities to 13,013 on Wednesday.
As per latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 1,388 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours taking the total number of positive cases to 583916.
So far 258,679 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 173,395 in Punjab 72,801 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 44,690 in Islamabad, 19,076 in Balochistan, 10,319 in Azad Kashmir and 4,956 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Furthermore 5,441 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 4,372 in Sindh, 2,091 in KP, 501 in Islamabad, 306 in Azad Kashmir, 200 in Balochistan, and 102 in GB.
Pakistan has so far conducted 9,055,069 coronavirus tests and 32,945 in the last 24 hours. 554,225 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 1,561 patients are in critical condition.
Pakistan, Nigeria and Indonesia will be among the biggest recipients of free Covid-19 vaccines before June — more than 10 million doses each — the Covax scheme announced .
The five biggest confirmed recipients are Pakistan (14,640,000), Nigeria (13,656,000), Indonesia (11,704,800), Bangladesh (10,908,000) and Brazil (9,122,400).
They are followed by Ethiopia (7,620,000), the Democratic Republic of the Congo (5,928,000), Mexico (5,532,000), Egypt (4,389,600) and Vietnam (4,176,000).
