RAWALAKOT,  (Parliament Times)  : Central Leader of PTI Azad Kashmir and Special Assistant to Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan reached Rawalakot on a two-day visit where he reviewed the arrangements for the Pakistan Army Long Live Rally.

 

Addressing the reception gathering on the occasion, Sardar Tanveer Ilyas said that the journey of defense of homeland and independence of Kashmir would be continued alongside the Armed Forces of Pakistan. He said Pakistani forces have made everlasting sacrifices in eradicating terrorism and restoring peace from the country, and have also secured the country’s security and borders. The Kashmiri nation stands side by side with its forces in making the national defense invincible. Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan expressed his satisfaction over the arrangements made for the rally and hoped that today’s rally was going to mark a date that would give a fresh impetus to the Kashmiri people on both sides. Meanwhile, Preparations for a rally and rally in Rawalakot to pay tribute to the Pakistan Army for shooting down two Indian planes by the Pakistan Air Force for violating airspace on February 27 two years ago have been completed. However, Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Punjab and Senior Leader of PTI, while attending the program, reached his home constituency on Friday evening to start his activities in Azad Kashmir and was greeted by hundreds of people. When Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan reached Dhalkot Azad Kashmir from Islamabad in a convoy, the people of the area and the PTI leadership and workers showered him with flower petals. On the other hand, the venue of Rawalpindi Sabir Shaheed Stadium has been decorated, banners and pennants have been hung all over the city to pay homage to Pakistan Army and the arrival of Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan.

Talking to the people of the area, Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan declared February 27 as National Day and said that Pakistan Air Force had shot down Indian planes for violating Pakistani airspace on this historic day. The Armed Forces of Pakistan have always bravely guarded the country’s borders and made sacrifices for the establishment of peace in the country. While celebrating this day in a grand manner, we also want to send a message to the sisters and brothers of Occupied Kashmir that the Kashmiri and Pakistani nation stand together for their freedom and will one day take independence from India. He said that the rallies and public gatherings held in solidarity with the forces of Pakistan from the land of martyrs and invaders of Poonch are proof that the people are with their armed forces and together we will continue to fight the enemy on every front.
