ISLAMABAD: National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has reserved the decision On the application seeking raise in power tariff by 92 paisas per unit under Fuel Adjustment Surcharge for the month of January.
NEPRA has proposed to raise the tariff by paisas 89 per unit.
The application from Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) seeking increase in power tariff by 92 paisas per unit under the FAS of January came up for hearing in the meeting of NEPRA held under its vice chairman Saif Ullah Chatha Thursday.
NEPRA following the completion of hearing of the application reserved the decision.
NEPRA said the decision will be given after reviewing in details the statistics.
If increase in power tariff is approved then the consumers will have to suffer additional financial burden to the tune of Rs 6,9 billion.
