Islamabad,(Parliament Times): A condolence reference was held at National Press Club Islamabad to pay homage to prominent Kashmiri politician and former minister Muhammad Matloob Inqlabi. The condolence reference was attended addressed by the political leadership hailing from both sides of the Line of Control (LoC) including prime minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan, PPP president Latif Akbar, President PTI Barrister Sultan Mehmood, APHC leader Syed Yousuf Naseem and several others. Whereas organizers of the event including Amir Mehboob, editor-in-chief of Daily Jammu and Kashmir and members of well-known Anjum Chichi were present on the occasion.
Speakers on the occasion paid tribute to the national and political services of the late Muhammad Matloob Inqalabi. The speakers demanded that Kotli University and any major highways be named and attributed after the deceased leader. On the occasion, Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan has said that he is grateful to the journalists especially Amir Mehboob and Chaudhry Maroof Anjum for this national condolence reference.
He said this event is a reflection of the fact that there is still political tolerance in Azad Kashmir. He said It is a matter of happiness that this political environment does not exist in Pakistan. For Muhammad Matloob Inqlabi he said the deceased leader did a great job as the head of the party, Inqalabi he said possessed high qualities and also had excellent relations with other political parties. The Prime Minister also warned that the state of Jammu and Kashmir is moving towards division and we have to keep in mind the ground realities and we all have to come together on the unity of Kashmir. Nothing will be achieved unless Kashmiris are ahead.
He said that Modi has drowned the shackles of Indian democracy and secularism. Kashmiris have to go ahead and present their case on their own. The people of occupied Kashmir who have become a training ground have to take care of India. India has issued domiciles to more than 33,000 people. He said It will harm the Kashmiris. He said that section 370 is not a matter of Kashmiris. It is a matter of throwing dust in the eyes of Kashmiris. He said our case is of 35A. He said that Kashmiris living abroad have to be brought together. Kashmiris are dying. We have to realize this. He said we should not try to fool them. He said that there is no grievance with 220 million people in Pakistan. He said that the organization would be named after Matloob Inqlabi. Meanwhile, Former Prime Minister and President of PTI Azad Kashmir Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry has said that PPP has seen two losses, Matloob Inqlabi and Ghulam Sadiq. “Such workers are the assets of any party. They were our dearest comrades. They were a symbol of elegance, Muhammad Matloob Inqlabi was a man of high character, bold and principled”, he said adding that his devotion to Benazir Bhutto was exemplary”.
Former Prime Minister and Supreme Head of the Muslim Conference Sardar Atiq Ahmad Khan said that the sincerity of Matloob Inqlabi could be guaged from the fact that today all political leadership has gathered here to pay tribute to him. A On the occasion, PPP President Chaudhry Latif Akbar said that I pay homage to Matloob Inqlabi. He was our devoted comrade. “Death is real but some people can never be forgotten. On the occasion, former Minister Javed Iqbal Badhanvi said that there are many aspects in the life of Muhammad Matloob Inqlabi. He was a staunch political activist, his life was the voice of the oppressed classes. His life was a metaphor of courage and bravery on principles. Former Federal Minister J. Salik also spoke that the Matloob Inqlabi remained committed to one ideology and this is his political achievement. Hurriyat leader Syed Yousuf Naseem while paying homage to Matloob Inqlabi said that his personality was a combination of high qualities. He was committed to the Kashmir Independence Movement.
Former PFUJ President Afzal Butt said that Matloob Inqlabi was a genuine political activist. He entered politics without genealogy and bank balance and proved his mettle. He was very close to his workers. He created enthusiasm in the workers. paying homage to Inqalabi, AKNS President Sardar Zahid Tabassum said that he was one of the lucky ones who remained committed to his ideology and his party. Waleed Matool Inqalabi the son of deceased leader while addressing the gathering said that he would will do hos best to continue his father’s mission. He thanked everyone for their love and affection.
