    Solidarity rallies held in Shikarpur

    SHIKARPUR: Like other parts of Sindh, a large number of religious, political, and other organizations took out rallies to mark Kashmir Day to express solidarity with the people of Kashmiris, here on Friday.
    A mammoth rally was taken out by district administration Shikarpur which was led by Kashif Nabi Khurho, the DC Shikarpur, it marched various routes and culminated at Shikarpur Press Club.
    Speaking on the occasion, DC Shikarpur said the Indian army has been committing atrocities on innocent children, women, and elderly persons, and weaponless youths adding every people and every nation has the right to Self-determination which also has been awarded in the resolutions passed by United Nations and there is a dire need to implement on the passed resolution, he however further said that if the self-determination was not awarded to the people of the Kashmir then negative aspects would raise.
    Iqbal Detho, a famous human rights activist, said that various letters have been written to United by using the platform of child protection to take notice of atrocities of the Indian army.
    Assistant Commissioner Shikarpur Jawad Larik, Deputy Director Information Irshad Chandio, Assistant Director Bureau of Supply & Prices Riaz Ahmed Memon, MS civil hospital Asghar Maganhar, and a large number of officers and representatives of others departments belonging to Revenue, Police, Education, Social Welfare, Municipal Committee, Public Health, Health and others participated and raised slogans against India and its prime minister Narendra Modi.
    The separate rallies were also taken out by Jamait-e-Islami Shikarpur which was led by Professor Nizamuddin Memon, the Naib Ameer of JI Sindh, and others from Jahaz Chowk up to Lakhi gate Shikarpur, besides, Government High School Shah Latif also arranged a program to show solidarity with the people of the Kashmir where Nazeer Ahmed Soomro, TEO Education was chief guest and prizes were also distributed amongst the students of the school who took part in speeches with respect to Kashmir.
    Safdar Ameer Pahore, Manzoor Ahmed and others were also spoke and raised their voice in favour of Kashmir and its people.
    Apart from that, Sindh Energy Minister Imtiaz Ahmed Sheikh in his statement on the occasion of Kashmir Day said that the dream of Pakistan dreamed by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and his associates is incomplete without Kashmir. He said that PPP would continue to support Kashmiris’ right to self-determination.
    He recalled that in 1990, as the then Prime Minister, Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto had declared Kashmir Day as a public holiday to show solidarity with the right of the Kashmiri people to self-determination.
    The Sindh Energy Minister said that our Kashmiri brothers have been suffering from oppression and barbarism by the occupying Indian forces for the last 70 years and are not only facing hardships of imprisonment but also bravely risking their lives to end the illegal occupation of their land by India. Are also offering offerings.
    He said that Modi did Ruthless policies have turned Paradise Kashmir into a penitentiary, Imtiaz Ahmed Sheikh said that butchery Modi conspiracies to turn Kashmiris into a minority on their own land would fail.
    Imtiaz Ahmed Sheikh said that the founding chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto had expressed his determination to fight for the independence of Kashmir for a thousand years and today we reiterate the same commitment for Kashmiris.
    He said that Pakistani people stand by the side of Kashmiri brothers.
    He said that PPP would continue to support Kashmiris on all political, diplomatic and moral fronts.
