It has been more than a year, Sindh government announced to advertise more than 37000 vacant teaching positions to be filled in throughout the Province. Due to the lack of teaching staff in schools, honorable High court also took notice to fill in the vacancies on urgent basis to avoid further loss of education. But till today at the time of writing this write up, no advertisement is released. Instead, many statements regarding recruitment of teaching positions from time to time have been given by Ministry of Education Sindh. For this first time, school Education and Literacy Department Sindh has released a circular of syllabus pertaining to hiring of teachers. It is said that the written test will be conducted by third party IBA Testing Service. In this regard, IBA has also shared a sample paper for PST and JEST posts on its website. In addition to this, several controversial messages are also being circulated regarding required qualification for the said positions. Professional qualification such as B.Ed and M.Ed has also been taken away for the up-coming teaching jobs. Many private tuitions and institutes have started preparation classes for these jobs. For the first time, it has been observed that syllabus and sample papers are shared before the advertisement. Candidates in thousands are preparing and waiting for the advertisement. But here the question is when will Sindh Government announce the advertisement? We have been hearing of the vacant positions since more than a year, between this time, we have been told all the conditions regarding recruitment of these positions which are generally written in the advertisement but why are they taking so much time? What are the reasons behind the delay? If candidates are told each and every thing regarding procedure of recruitment, then they should about be told about the reason of delay in process. Continuous delay in announcement of new vacant positions is creating anxiety and state of uneasiness among the candidates. Education Minister Sindh is humbly requested to expedite the recruitment process and announce the vacancies at the earliest because after the advertisement, there is another long journey for the candidates to go on.
