People’s cooperation in boosting developmental projects is required; Fazil


QUETTA,    (Parliament Times)  : Chief Secretary Balochistan Capt (retd) Fazil Asghar visited various areas of Quetta city here on Sunday . Accompanied by Additional Chief Secretary Development Abdul Sabur Kakar, Secretary Building Ghulam Ali Baloch, Commissioner Quetta Asfandyar Kakar, Deputy Commissioner Quetta Aurangzeb Badini, he inspected the ongoing development projects including Junior Assistants Colony, Abdul Razzaq Dotani Park. Technical Advisor C&W Mukhtar Ahmed was also present on the occasion. The Chief Secretary said that

while ensuring timely and quality completion of ongoing development projects under Quetta Development Package no negligence would be tolerated in speeding up the work. Meanwhile, appreciating the performance of the Quetta Metropolitan staff, the Chief Secretary said that the sanitation situation in the city has improved a lot and it needs to be further improved so that the city is completely free of filth. He said that the area’s condition was dilapidated at the time of his visit but now the condition and cleanliness of the park has also improved significantly. He said the provincial government is working on plans to provide clean drinking water to the people of Quetta. In this regard, WASA has been given the particular task. He urged the people to cooperate with the government in this matter. He said that work was underway on several projects for rehabilitation of the traffic system in the city, with the completion of which heavy traffic would be diverted and plans for underpasses and overhead bridges were also under consideration.
