“Kamyab Kisan Programme” a reflection of govt’s farmers friendly policies: Sarwar


Lahore:   Punjab Governor, Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar, has said that the initiative of “Kamyab Kisan Programme” is a reflection of farmers’ friendly policies of the government in line with the vision of Prime Minister Imran.
He said this during a meeting with famous industrialist Khawaja Jalal-ud-Din Rumi at Governor House. Issues related to farmers’ welfare and importance of research came under discussion during the meeting.

Punjab Governor further said that the previous governments only paid lip service, but the incumbent government is taking practical steps for the prosperity of farmers. Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that Prime Minister Imran Khan and his entire team deserve appreciation for launching the “Kamyab Kisan”project under the umbrella of ‘’Kaamyab Jawan Program’’. He said that the PTI government is ensuring the provision of various facilities like modern tractors to the farmers, adding he said that the strength of Pakistan lies in strengthening of farmers. He said that the Prime Minister Imran Khan has formed a committee of the concerned departments of the Federal and Punjab governments headed by him and Punjab Chief Minister to boost cotton production.

Punjab Governor further said that corrupt elements have also been exploiting farmers economically. Corruption is the root cause of all problems and the present government is committed to eradicating corruption from the country. While praising the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan, he said he has saved the country from economic bankruptcy. The present government is taking practical steps to strengthen all sectors, he added. Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that those who are conspiring to stop the country from moving forward will not succeed. Despite all the economic challenges, the government is striving to provide basic facilities to the common man.

Punjab Punjab Governor also appreciated the services of Jalaluddin Rumi in the industrial sector.
