Creativity is characterized by the ability to perceive the world in new ways, to find hidden patterns, to make connections between seemingly unrelated phenomena, and to generate solutions. Human creativity changes our life in all dimensions such as education, health, technology. Finance etc. it brings to our awareness what was previously hidden and points to a new life. In this fast and frequent changing world, creative people are highly on demand. While creativity does entail giving life to “new” poems, songs, paintings and designs, there is so much more to it than just having a revolutionary thought pop into our minds. It is actually used in everyday life to solve problems and complete even the most ordinary tasks. Creativity Quotient (CQ) can be measured by asking questions and can be boosted by being mindful. Here are some clues. How to check? Do you like changes? Creative people are always ready to face any change in their life without any resistance and face it with a positive attitude. Creativity is the input to innovation and change is the output from innovation. Do you ask questions? It’s been said that at the age of 5 children ask 120 questions in a day, at the age of 6 they ask only 60 questions in a day, and at the age of 40 adults ask 4 questions in a day. We adults needs to embrace “beginner’s mind”, and ask question instead of trying to find immediate answers. Indeed curiosity known as the seed for creativity. Do you identify the thing or things that are preventing you from being creative? Maybe it’s fear, or a lack of belief in your own creative ability. Maybe it’s a misunderstanding. Do you believe in yourself? Do you have faith in your own capabilities means you can do something because When you believe in yourself you can overcome self doubt. How to boost? In a world where only 25% of people think they’re living up to their creative potential, the big question is: How do you unlock your inner creativity? Here are some ways to boost creativity: Use your all senses: use all your senses to watch things from around you. Start with knee observation and remain more alert and be good observer while listening, watching, smelling, touching and tasting. Contact the disconnected: it is the ability to make connections between things that don’t have an apparent connection. Creative thinking helps in it which is not over thinking. Make Mistakes: Mistakes and errors are a part of the creative process. Difficulties and frustration are just a natural part of creating a work. No work was created perfectly in one draft.It’s how you learn from your mistakes, not the mistakes themselves that matters. Just Do It: Naturally, we won’t always want to work, even if we enjoy what we do. Frustration, disappointment and boredom are all part of the creative process. With practice, it becomes easier, and you’ll eventually find that once you start you won’t want to stop!. Believe: If you don’t believe in your work, how can you expect others to? Don’t compare yourself to other people, make work that you like. Be confident in all that you create. Your work is unique to you. After all, it was you who made it. Reward Your Curiosity: Reward yourself when you are curious about something. Give yourself the opportunity to explore new topics and things. Brainstorming: Brainstorming is a common technique in both academic and professional settings, but it can also be a powerful tool for developing your creativity. Start by suspending your judgment and self-criticism, then start writing down related ideas and possible solutions. The goal is to generate as many ideas as possible in a relatively short span of time. Next, focus on clarifying and refining your ideas in order to arrive at the best possible choice.
