Lahore: ( Daily Parliament Times) On the occasion of the 73rd Independence Day of Sri Lanka, Pakistan Sri Lanka Business Forum Chairman Yasin Joyia will hold a cake-cutting ceremony of Sri Lanka-Pakistan 70-year-old friendship on February 4 at the Pak-Sri Lanka Tourist Information Centre in Lahore. Yasin Joyia said that for the first time in history, Sri Lanka Pakistan Tourist Information Centre has been opened in Lahore. For which The High Commission Islamabad and Sri Lankan Tourist Board have cooperated. The purpose of this tourist information Centre is to increase the number of Pakistani tourist visiting Sri Lanka. Yasin Joyia said that his experience in the field of Media Industries will help him
promote tourism. He was The General Manager PTV World, World Call Chief Operating Officer, COO Sun TV and GM Network Television Marketing.
He wants to have good relations between Pakistan and Sri Lanka in every field. He said, their friendship has been established for decades. Sri Lanka has always helped Pakistan in every field. Pakistan has also sided with Sri Lanka in difficult times. In 2005, Sri Lanka was the first to sign the Free Trade Agreement with Pakistan.Sri Lanka has sent National Cricket team to Pakistan despite terrorism.
On February 4, business community, students from Sri Lanka ,Sri Lankan airlines officials and media has been invited to attend this event. Yasin Joyia said he is also a member of PIAF's executive committee and also Co-convener of LCCI committee of Pak Sri Lanka business promotion. He strongly believes that this platform will help to promote multi lateral relations between both countries, and also help promote tourism from Pakistan to Sri Lanka.
The Present High Commissioner of Sri Lanka, His Excellency Mohan Wijewickrama is very keen to promote trade, tourism and cultural relations between the two countries
