Rawalakot : (PR) According to a statement issued from the JKLF central information office, Muhammad Rafiq Dar, the party spokesman said that during a condolence meeting organized by JKLF in Rawlakot, AJK in memory of party’s former acting chairman Late Abdul Hameed Butt, rich tributes were paid to martyrs of Gawkadal massacre.
The central party leadership Hafiz Muhammad Anwar Samavi, Muhammad Rafiq Dar, Saleem Haroon and Sardar Muhammad Anwar Khan along with zonal and district party leaders Haji Muhammad Ibrahim, Azam Zia, S M Ibrahim Adv, Zahoor Aslam, Mirza Manshad Ahmed, Sheikh Muhammad Ramzan, Tahir Bashir, Hafiz Sardar Mumtaz Ahmed, Sardar Aftab Ahmed and others, while remembering shuhada-e-Gawkadal on their 31st anniversary vowed to continue the freedom struggle to its logical conclusion.
The JKLF leaders said that the complete independence of the State of Jammu Kashmir is the destiny of the Kashmiri nation. The obstacles during the freedom struggle laid down by our enemies prove sand walls before the national commitment of freedom. Citing the examples of Gawkadal like other massacres, the JKLF leaders expressed their resolve that the state terrorism, killings, arrests and harassment cannot deter us from our freedom struggle. While paying rich tributes to martyrs of Gawkadal massacre, the JKLF leaders said that these martyrs are our national pride and that their sacrifices would not be allowed to go waste. A well-known medical doctor of Rawlakot Dr. Sardar Ishfaq Ahmed along with his son Asad Ishfaq joined JKLF during the function, the spokesman informed. The father and other family members of Shaheed Naeem Butt also graced the occasion with their presence, the spokesman added.
The JKLF spokesman expressed deep grief and sorrow over the sad demise of the uncle of the party’s senior leader and former central Secretary General Eng. Ghulam Rasool Dar, brother of former secretary information of district Poonch Sardar Ajmal Shaheen and father of secretary convening committee Lahore Division Choudhary M. Akram. While expressing the party’s condolences, the spokesman prayed for the souls of the deceased to rest in peace in Jannah.
