QUETTA, (Parliament Times) : A review meeting of the first apex committee on progress on South Balochistan Development Program via a video link chaired by Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan was held at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat here on Tuesday. The meeting was informed that the provincial government has identified 6 major projects for development of health sector, public health infrastructure and PD of all these projects. The meeting was attended by Deputy Speaker National Assembly Qasim Khan Suri, Chief Secretary Balochistan Capt (retd) Fazil Asghar, Additional Secretary Planning and Development Abdul Sabur Kakar, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Zahid Saleem and Federal Secretary Planning Development Mutahir Niaz Rana, Representative Southern Command and other officials. Giving a detailed briefing to the meeting on the proposed projects and financing plan under the South Balochistan Development Package, the Chief Secretary Balochistan said that 119 projects have been prepared under the umbrella of the package. He apprised about the progress made in the preparation of PC-1 and 2 of these projects and said that out of 53 priority projects under the Federal Annual Development Program, the provincial government has prepared PC-1 and 2 for 26 out of 28 projects.
