Napoleon Bonaparte said that “leaders are merchants of hope”. If there are no leaders, most people lose hope and demoralize. Why is this happening? Simply because morale is “confidence and hope in the leader who is at the top. Without a leader, vision is lost. Here is the equation. If a team develops a specific vision within a strategic plan, but no leader is identified, a problem will arise. Yes, problem, why? Because the vision will deviate away from the goals, and without a leader the vision will dissipate, and the team will drift behind multiple, imprecise directions away from the specific goal or the intended purpose of the team’s work. But if the team starts with a leader and without a vision, then things will go well and appropriately, as the leader can define the vision, and the leader may be the “visionary”. Because the latter always has somewhere to reach. * Without a leader, decision-making is delayed. Former US President Ronald Reagan (1981-1989) says that when he was a teenager his aunt took him to tailor a pair of shoes. The shoemaker asked him how would you like the front of the shoe? Round or square? Reagan remembers that he had not decided yet, so the shoemaker told him, “Come in a day or two, and tell me what you decided?” But Reagan did not come back again, and when the man saw him on the street by chance he asked him again, “How do you want the front of the shoe,” and the response was “no Decide yet. ” The man’s answer was, “The shoes will be ready tomorrow.” Reagan went to pick up the shoes and discovered that one had a round toe and the other a square. “When I saw that shoe, I learned a lesson,” says President Reagan. “If I don’t make my decisions, someone else will make it for me.”When talking about leadership or innovation and development, this means talking about change, or driving change in order to move from a current situation to a new or better development situation, and change is a positive thing, and there are many companies, institutions and organizations if they do not change or change their way of working, or From its product, or from the way it deals, especially with the consumer, it will not survive and compete, and in our country, hardly a day passes until we hear, read, or watch in a conference or workshop, the call for change, a change in the economy, in development and its methods, and in issues Social, cultural, health status, etc., and of course change for the better, and it is easy to demand change and even present what is aimed at change and what must be available in terms of resources, conditions, money and people, but the most difficult, whether in the economy, in politics, in entrepreneurial work, or in development, Whether it is agricultural or human development, or better yet sustainable development, the most difficult in the change process is driving change, finding the person or People who can successfully pass from the current site to the other, and there are courses that are taught or stand-alone science in relation to change management, and to make a change simply requires the quality of leaders. When talking about change and leaders, that is, leaders of change, this means leadership, creativity and innovation, and this is not necessarily in the product, but in the style, in thinking and in the culture of work, that is to change and influence to bring about change, or to persuade to bring about change, because people by their nature do not desire change Or, they want to remain in a comfortable and stable situation, or they work to resist change, because change requires energy, effort, and unstable situations, and to convince others to change and to work for it and then do it, it requires leaders to take initiative and show the positives of change, to be the example and to have the ability To take responsibility for failure.
