Rawalpindi: PANAH general secretary Sana Ullah Ghumman has said that the government should take immediate action against those who are inclined towards VELO after smoking and sugary drinks .
The government has lost more than Rs 70 billion due to non-implementation of the Health Bill, Sana Ullah Ghumman said.
The construction and development of the country is linked to the youth, smoking and drug addiction is a curse, join hands with the government in making the society free from it.

General Secretary Pakistan National Heart Association(PANAH) Sana Ullah Ghumman said that youth will be healthy and the country will develop.VELO is an alternative to tobacco,Advertising of smoking is prohibited but VELO is being publicly advertised, which is tantamount to blatant violation of the Supreme Court and law enforcement agencies. The government should take steps to prevent the health of the young generation from being jeopardized.
Sana Ullah Ghumman said this during a meeting with Federal Parliamentary Secretary Narcotics Force and Member National Assembly Sheikh Rashid Shafiq at Lal Haveli, Rawalpindi yesterday.During the meeting he congratulated Sheikh Rashid to become Interior Minister. Sana Ullah Ghumman said that smoking and sugary drinks are unnecessary.The roots of diseases,Now the name of VELO is being played with the health of the young generation and especially the young girls.The implementation of the Health Levy Bill will be an effective step by the government to protect young students from these factors.
Federal Parliamentary Secretary Narcotics Force and Member National Assembly Sheikh Rashid Shafiq praised the positive progress of the PANAH. He said that our ministry is working day and night to create a drug free society.Prime Minister Imran Khan and former Federal Prime Minister Swati took steps to prevent it.We are bringing the strictest rules in the assembly, In order to eliminate such negative elements,They are targeting our young generation.We urge parents and honorable citizens to keep a close eye on the day-to-day affairs of our new generation.Identify the elements that provide smoking and narcotics in educational institutions on the “Mother” website created by the Narcotics Force to create a healthier society.Our narcotics force will take action against them, Where is the future youth, Pakistan is with them,If young people are attracted to smoking or drugs, the dream of development of the country will not be realized.The government alone cannot do anything,Let the people join hands with the government to build a society free from smoking and drugs.The government will appear to be taking practical steps to prevent this in the near future.
On this, General Secretary Sana Ullah Ghumman said that we are with the government.We have worked hard to prevent smoking, sugary drinks and other public health hazards.There is no doubt about the steps taken by the government.But the health levy bill was passed by the federal cabinet.The Prime Minister signed it,It has been forwarded to the FBR but the FBR has been using delaying tactics for two years.The government’s own institutions are obstructing its implementation.We want to see Parliamentary Secretary Rashid Shafiq with us in good faith.
Parliamentary Secretary Sheikh Rashid Shafiq said there was no doubt that the PANAH had been working on health issues for 36 Years. The matter is under consideration through the PANAH.The issue will also be raised in the National Assembly.And it will be checked where the bill is in the ministryIt will be investigated and acted upon within the law.
