ISLAMABAD,(Parliament Times): Prominent Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Azad Kashmir arranged a detailed meeting regarding discussions on the ongoing atrocities in Occupied Kashmir, especially the unilateral measures taken by the Modi government on August 5, 2019 against the UN resolutions on Kashmir which resulted in state military blockade resettlement and allotment of land to them, destruction of the state economy, closure of the Hurriyat leadership, restrictions on the media to suppress the voice of ordinary citizens and denial of access to human rights organizations to the occupied state and all the black laws enforced there. Condemning in words. The meeting strongly condemned the criminal negligence of the federal and state governments on the Kashmir issue. And the Tehreek-e-Takmeer in Occupied Kashmir expressed its full solidarity with the invaders, martyrs and mujahideen fighting the war in Pakistan and assured them that the PPP will continue its struggle till the recognized right of Kashmiris to self-determination. The meeting also condemned the ongoing Georgia by the Indian Army on the ceasefire line and the resulting loss of life and property of the civilian population. India turns its guns on Azad Kashmir to cover up its failures in response to its oppression in occupied Kashmir and to cover up its oppression. The meeting made it clear that the people here will not be intimidated by such cowardly acts by India. And it will stand by the side of the Pakistan Army to defend the homeland. The meeting expresses deep concern over the ongoing judicial crisis in Azad Kashmir and believes that the government has deliberately created this crisis in order to take political advantage of it and appoint judges of its choice through the crisis. The matter should be settled in consultation with the legal community and in confidence. The meeting fully supported the PDM’s ongoing movement for the rule of law in Pakistan, creating a conducive environment in Azad Kashmir to ensure the dignity of the vote and the rule of law, and the central government to interfere in the electoral process here. The meeting condemned the PTI government’s interference and systematic rigging in the Gilgit-Baltistan elections and made it clear that no one should try to make the free zone as ugly as Gilgit-Baltistan. The meeting expressed sympathy with the Hazara community in Balochistan, condemned the massacre in Machh and Prime Minister Imran Khan for not going to them at the request of the bereaved families and demanded immediate fulfillment of the legitimate demands of the victims. Pakistan Peoples Party Meeting Founder Chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, Martyr of Democracy Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, Muhammad Matool Inqalabi and Sardar Ghulam Sadiq, Sardar Javed Ayub, The Municipal Corporation of Mirpur expressed grief over the demise of Ghulam Rasool Awami’s brother and martyrs of Kashmir and extended its condolences to their bereaved families.
This meeting indicated full confidence in the leadership of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, PPP Azad Kashmir in-charge Ms. Faryal Talpur and PPP Azad Kashmir President Chaudhry Latif Akbar. The meeting strongly condemned the failure of the federal government’s economic policies and the sharp rise in food prices.
The meeting expressed grave concern over the judicial crisis in Azad Kashmir and demanded that the vacancies of judges be resolved immediately with the appointment of permanent Chief Justices of the Supreme Court and the High Court in accordance with the provisions of the 1974 Act.
